Telco Giant Netone Company donated clinic equipment inorder to assist the smooth operations of the clinic in Hingwe.
NetOne CEO Engineer Raphael Mushanawani had his speech read on his behalf by Netone Matebeleleland Regional manager Ms Elmah Dube said that they were in Mbimba to equip the clinic with various equipment necessary for the smooth run of a basic medical centre and they believed that the equipment will go a long way in assisting operations of the clinic.
“Our CSI strategy covers the following areas health, education, care, empowerment only to mention few.
Today we are here at Hingwe to host a netball tornament and donations for the various areas that covers the NSD1. We have the following items that we would like to offer to the community: hospital beds, baby scales, BP machines, sanitary pads and wheelchairs,” she said.
“Clinic donations were done at Mbimba. At Hingwe we donated clinic equipment (BP machines &sugar testing machines), we had a netball tournament, sanitary pads, and grocery hampers for the elderly,” explained Dube.
For the past years Netone has partnered with different communities,supporting their programmes and they promised to continue doing the same in order to meet the ever changing socio- economic development.
During the presentation, Dube also added that the National Development Strategy 1 (NDS1) will give them a clear vision as a cooperate and direction they should take and subscribes to the government call towards vision 2030 as they pull to assist development sustainable community programmes.
The event also featured distinguished guest, Honourable Phuti who doubles the MP for Bulilima West Constituency and the Deputy for ICTPCS. Honourable Phuti graced the event through his guidance and also allowing them to host the tournament in their constituency.
