Protection of Children Must Be Prioritised :Ammi Jamanda

Afro-fusion songbird Ammi Jamanda (31) believes every  adult should make the protection of children a top priority.

A concerned mother and artiste,Jamanda made the statement at the protest march against ritual killings, child abuse and  abduction of minor children regional and international.

Organised by Artists Of Hope Movement the historic march was held over the weekend in the capital city Harare.

Hope of Movement, an umbrella group which was formed as a result of the literal unification of three national musicians unions organised the above stated event following the ritual killing of Tapiwa Makore in Mrewa, under Chief Mangwende village, last  month.

The march was the group’s endeavour to register its concerns and show solidarity with the family of the late 7-year-old Tapiwa  (junior).

The deceased’s uncle and namesake,  Tapiwa Makore , and his employee Tafadzwa have since been arrested for the gruesome murder and were granted bail at the high Court.

Tapiwa’s torso was discovered but the head and some body boy’s parts are still  missing and yet to be recovered to allow for proper burial and the Makore family joined the protesters in Harare for the March
