Three individuals at Nyakamete industrial area in Mutare were hit by a bolt of lightning this afternoon, Post on Sunday has learnt.
One person died on the spot and two others were rushed to Mutare Provincial Hospital.
Manicaland Provincial Police Spokesperson, Inspector Tavhiringwa Kakohwa has confirmed the incident and said investigations are still underway.
“I have just received information of three, yet to be identified individuals who have been struck by lightning at Nyakamete Industrial area this afternoon. One of them died on the spot and the other two have been ferried to Mutare Provincial Hospital as we speak.
“Details concerning the incident are still sketchy and the police are still at the scene investigating the matter,” said Insp Kakohwa
