He Is Holy Crap From His Crazy Head-Moyo

Post On Sunday (Electoral Perspective)

Zimbabweans will on the 26 of March vote in the by-elections to cover vacant seats which rose since 2019 following the deaths and recalling of both Zanu PF and Movement for Democratic Change MDC Alliance in Parliament and local councils.

Since day 1 of the proclamation of dates by the President of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa, there has been a hype of activities in the political arena, with the recent show by Dr. Thokozani Khupe in Bulawayo, declaring an official split and having two MDC T parties, one led by her and the other by Sen Douglas Mwonzora.

Citizens, Political parties and analysts have since described the move by Mwonzoro as unconstitutional and illegal but for reasons best known by him, it succeeded to create false vacancy in both parliament and local authorities which the Minister of local Government, July Moyo and the Speaker of Parliament, Jacob Mudenda used to recall elected members.

The issue of the name which MDC A leader Nelson Chamisa is going to use for the election has been the topic since.

Arguments are being raised, debates and statements on social media with the recent one on twitter by former minister, Professor Jonathan Moyo saying, “This claim by hon Sen Mwonzora is holy crap from his head; it’s nowhere in the Alliance agreement signed on August 5 2017; absolutely nowhere, like Abel Muzorewa who used to make up things in his head, Mwonzora wants people to think the claim is true just because he is saying it.

While this is happening the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) is under pressure by electoral bodies on electoral reforms, transparent voter registration processes and early issuing of the voters roll ahead of the 2023 general elections.

Nomination of aspiring candidates will be held on the 26th of January 2022 and MDC Alliance members will be using their name which they registered with ZEC.

“I urge all institutions to treat us fairly s political parties” said Dr Khupe
