The 4-1 win against Fc Platinum Under 19 at Mandava stadium with some of the goals coming from former Dynamos striker Takunda Mawarire and former ZPC Kariba speedster Lloyd Gwerina comes at a time when the Zvishavane based outfit is enjoying its fine form that has seen them challenging for top honors in the first round of matches.
In an interview with Post On Sunday ZPC Munyati Head Coach Rutherford Matondo said his side is taking it one game at a time.
“It’s good to see the return of football after a long week break. Yes, it’s always good to win away from home but we continue to work hard. There are just over 12 games left in this year’s campaign so every game should be approached like a final.”
The win against Fc Platinum has taken the power utility side to 25 points, eight points behind Telone and one point behind Tongogara.
This week Tendai Chikuni faces his former assistant at Telone Rutherford Matondo at Munyati stadium.
The last meeting between these sides saw Telone walking away with a 2-1 win at Ascot stadium.
