Chipinge, Zimbabwe’s hidden gem, is poised for tourism growth. At the Zimbabwe Tourism Investment Forum in Bulawayo, Minister of State for Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Hon. Adv. Misheck Mugadza, unveiled a lucrative opportunity for hotel investors. A 5-hectare plot near the breathtaking Bangazaan Dam has been reserved for the construction of a world-class hotel.
“Chipinge is a hub of agriculture and tourism,” Mugadza emphasized. “With its Natural Farming Regions 1-5, the district boasts unparalleled climatic conditions. We’re eager to tap into this potential.” Despite its advantages, Chipinge has been losing revenue due to a lack of competitive accommodation and conferencing facilities.
Mugadza extended an invitation to hotel investors, saying, “We welcome you to build a world-class hotel that will showcase Chipinge’s beauty and hospitality. This development will catapult our district into a thriving tourism destination.” With Bangazaan Dam as its stunning backdrop, the hotel is set to become a landmark attraction.
The Zimbabwe Tourism Investment Forum, held from September 12 to 14, 2024, under the Sanganai Hlanganani World Tourism Expo, aimed to showcase the country’s untapped tourism potential. Chipinge’s hotel project is a significant step forward, promising economic growth and job opportunities for the local community.
