ZPC Kariba FC Fans Cries Over Current Leadership.

By Tafadzwa Mpofu

Blame games are reigning the ever tensioned and curious ZPC Kariba FC fans, with some calling for the sponsor to react quickly upon the Annual General Meeting(AGM) before the 2020 Castle Lager Premier Soccer League starts.

The A.G.M which was supposed to be held beginning of last year, 2019, seeks to announce the dates for elections for both main and supporters executives, which some affiliated supporters are curiously waiting for and to make it a chance to meet the Club’s Chairperson whom they never met before.

Kariba based premier league outfit fans are used to getting team news in dribs and drabs through unofficial channels of which the blame is being given to the both executives.

“These guys (main and supporters executives) really takes us for granted if may to say. We never met Club Chairperson since being appointed, we don’t even know whom the team signed this season unless supporters are not being considered as part of the team.

“They don’t deliver their duties as required by most of the supporters. We always raise issues to the main executive through the supporters executive but the responses seem the two executive boards are not in good books or supporters are useless.

“Reshuffling and or injecting new blood in those groups is really needed before the season starts, maybe to avoid challenges we met in previous seasons. Ignorance is always letting our team down,” said Amidu Mbewe, a Kariba based well-known loyal supporter who seemed to be concerned and ashamed with way the football is being run.

He went on to say,
“Those positions in both executives needs people who understand the game of football, not only who knows to update results after the match.

“How can one premier league team in a town like Kariba, fail to fill-up a bus of supporters for an away trip, with such a population in Kariba of people who claim to support the team. It is also a clear sign of both executives failing to execute their duties.

The teams’ executive chairperson, Fadzai Chisveto, was not reachable for comment whilst supporters chairperson, Gift Milala refused to comment and referred all the question to Chisveto.
