Tarirai Mnangagwa Is Not My Son: ED

The Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC) has announced the immediate retraction of the published and damaging falsehood as well as an unconditional apology to the president Emerson Mnangagwa if NewsDay fail to give evidence that Tarirai David Mnangagwa is his biological son.

In a press statement yesterday the office of president and cabinet said his Excellency would be more grateful if News which is on the front page of NewsDay that Tarirai David Mnangagwa is president biological son can provide him and the nation with evidence of filial relationship between him and Tarirai David Mnangagwa.

“In the absence of such evidence ,the office of the president and cabinet demands an immediate retraction of the published and damaging falsehood as well as an apology to the president and first lady” ,they said.

The president office and cabinet also announced that what clearly is sustainable media campaign by NewsDay and other syndicated online news outlets who are trying to Tarnish the image of the first family by hooking on gold cases and mining claim disputes and including those before courts.

They further argues that the media should refrain from publishing false information which now become more of a norm and far from standards of professional journalism.
