In Mudzi ZANU Pf has postponed fresh district elections as the leadership is presumed to have rejected recently held elections results.
The elections have been postponed three times within a week raising fears that it might be the beginning of functionalism with the party.
Efforts to get a comment from the provincial leadership and the party commisar hit the brick wall as tensions grow by day with members rejecting and politicizing the postponements as politically motivated actions.
Leader and first secretary of the party, Emerson Mnangagwa told his party supporters that elections are over let unite and move together, this did not sink in some member of the party in Mudzi who are pushing for factional ism.
” I can’t work with people who are not loyal to the MPs ,we shall hold new elections so that we get rid of these new district members “said Clr Shoko .
The newly elected told this publication that they are not happy with councillor Shoko’s under dealings . “We are absolutely not happy by what this councillor Shoko is doing ,she is abusing her office as party coordinator to please the sitting MPs ,we will approach the party Headquarters for the restoration of order if this persists” said one of the elected member who asked for anonymity.
Our investigation revealed that Mashonaland East Provincial leadership which is led by Cde Michael Madanha is not aware of this fresh election even the ZANU PF National leadership has not been consulted
