Hubby Kills Wife With A Log Over Cheating Hunch

A man from Kwekwe is currently on the run after striking his wife to death over a cheating misunderstanding.

The gruesome case was confirmed by Midlands Spokesperson Inspector Emmanuel Mahoko.

He said, “Zimbabwe Republic Police confirms handling an investigation into the murder of a 42 year man of Haven Estate, Kwekwe who allegedly assaulted his wife to death after a misunderstanding.

The incident occurred on 21 January 2022 at about 0100 hours.

It is alleged, John Manhembe had a misunderstanding with his wife Talent Ncube aged 23 years over suspected infidelity.”

Circumstances in the report indicate that the pair started fighting until Manhembe picked up a log and hit the now deceased all over her body until she was unconscious.

“After committing the offence John fled away from the scene. Matter was reported to the police who attended the scene.

The deceased sustained fractures and bruises all over the body. Body was refered to Kwekwe mortuary awaiting post mortem, ” added Mahoko.

Police continues to advise the public to solve their issues without any inclusion of violence.

“We reiterate our appeal to members of the public to solve issues amicably or seek assistance from church leaders, village elders/leaders than use of violence as it may result in loss of lives as what happened in this case, “he said.
