As the Central region soccer league gathers full momentum Steak ‘n Chips has appeared on the honorary limelight as it seeks to awards the best goalkeeper and top goal scorer awards of the month.
The criteria behind the best goalkeeper will emanate from the number of games played, number of cleensheets and number of goals conceded.
Top ranked names for this award are veteran goalkeeper Tafadzwa Dube who has started in all of TelOne’s eight games so far, conceding three goals and keeping five cleensheets.
Former Caps United and Fc Platinum goalie Spencer Ngwerume who plies his trade with in form Sheasham Fc is also another top contender.
He has conceded three goals so far from a total of eight starts.
Other names on the nomination table are Loss Control goalkeeper Vitalis Kivhiti, Kwekwe United goal guard Elton Nehiware, Ability Moyo who keeps guard for Tongogara and MSU’s Valentine Makoni.
More nominees will be added from each and every team for further deliberation on who will take the award.
Steak ‘n Chips aims at awarding USD 100 for the winner which will be handed over at match venues.
Besides the best goal guard of the month the popular fast food outlet is also awarding the top goal scorer, an award which will likely be taken by Sheasham young striking sensation Liberty Masveure who has amassed seven goals from eight games so far.
Other candidates who might snatch the award are Forward Makambanga who plays for border side Dulibadzimu Fc.

Steak n’ Chips is a fast-food outlet which was firstly launched in Gweru and now they have branches in Kwekwe and Zvishavane with the aim to expand all over the country.
This opportunity is a great platform to celebrate and appreciate the players who are contributing to the growth of the game.
