Harare- Zimbabwe Five Time soccer star of the year, George Shaya was laid to rest at Warren-Hills cemetery yesterday in Harare.
Shaya died Tuesday morning at his house in Glen Norah after a long battle with sugar diabetes,
He was 77.
Scores of people across the divide paid their last respect to former footballer who made trends from as early as 1968 to 1973.
‘Mastermind’ Shaya is among the famous players in Zimbabwe who played for Dynamos FC and the national team.
The President, Emmerson Mnangagwa paid tribute to Shaya and the state assisted during his funeral.
