Rusape man, Martin Chaburumunda has taken the local authority to Court for failing to rehabilitate roads, causing damages to vehicles and putting the lives of people at risk.
Chaburumunda saved Rusape Town Council with a summon claiming ZWL $90 000 after his vehicle went stuck into a ditch and left body and mechanical faults.
Chaburumunda approached Rusape Magistrate Courts yesterday morning and before Obidience Matare and the matter is continuing.
Dorcas Atukwa is representing Rusape Council while Chaburumunda is being represented by Leonard Chigadza.
This matter came at a time when this publication received information that Zinara had disbursed funds to councils and Rusape having received the larger amount it has nothing really to show in as far as rehabilitation is concerned.
Rusape Magistrate, Matare, said the applicant should furnish the respondent with all papers for preparation of the cases and the matter is expected to continue into a pre-trial.
