PERMANENT Secretary of Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Edgars Seenza has said that Manicaland needs serious investors who can tap on the province’s readily available resources.
In a speech which he gave on behalf of the Minister of Manicaland Provincial Affairs and Devolution, Hon Nokuthula Matsikenyeri during the National Presidential clean-up campaign which took place on June 3, 2022 in Chipinge, Mr Seenza called on serious investors to consider setting up businesses in the province.
“We have Chibasane Falls in Ngaone which are very beautiful. We just need someone to set up chalets so that people can tour the area and enjoy the scenic view of that area as they do with Victoria Falls. This will help other service providers to get business there.
“We have Osborne Dam in Mutasa which doesn’t benefit people in the area but farmers in Middle Sabi who do irrigation. We need to set up tourism business there and people can visit Osborne.
“On June 17, we are going to hold a Provincial Investment Conference where we are inviting serious investors who have indicated that they want to invest in Manicaland. We shall be connected with those in the Diaspora. It’s a conference for the serious ones who should leave that conference having taken up something. If you are a serious investor, please advice so that we book your place,” he said.
