Mutare United Methodist choral gospel group The Green Pastures led by Mr Isaac Mafudza released their fifth album titled Nguva Yenyasha on 29 July at Meikles Park in Mutare.
Green Pastures choral team which based in Mutare said there are times when we fail to do good in our lives, thus they say “takawanirwa nyasha nekuimba”. They also did social commentary on the song titled Apo ndatambudzika which is on the new album released.
The Ressurrection Choir,Mutare Revival choir , Jasper Kamupunga music and Jairos Mutambikwa graced the event .
The new album released has eight tittle tracks which includes “Tichasanaganiswa ,Uyaiwo baba, Kuedza kwazosvika , Ndashaya zororo,Inzwai mweya wangu ,Tarira uone , Mufaro wezuva riya and Apo ndatambudzika .
” I grew up singing from my primary level,in churches up to now I got my green pastures. We are eight members within our team”.
” We started singing in 2018 with our first album Mwari Weminana containing 8 songs , second album was done in 2019 titled Mambo Werudo ,third album single track(Corona virus song), fourth album 2021 Tariro Ichiripo “, said Mafudza .
With the recently launched album Nguva Yenyasha our aim is to bring more souls to Christ through singing,to find lost souls and strengthening those already in the doctrine of Christ.
“As green pastures team we have challenges in pushing our music through videos ,we don’t have equipments like PA Systems, transport to move from one place to another so that we can reach so many areas throughout the country and abroad “, he ended.
